BEAUTY OFFERED BY NATURE/

This are beautiful pictures clicked by my hubby when we were in Talegoan last week, I am not too fond of flowers, but flowers are such a gift of nature that when you see them suddenly you cannot help but smile.

And that’s what happened when I saw this little plant that was growing outside my friends bungalow when we were visiting..

It was a holiday home and so they were coming back to it after about 2 months and hence the outside of the home needed a little bit of cleaning and dusting. But these little flowers needed nothing to add to their beauty they were like a bright spot in the unkempt exterior.

They were blooming in the corner and still you could not help but look at them there were only 4 on the plant and there were these 2 small buds.. The colour a pretty pretty pink..

I know that I am being philosophical but wouldn’t it be nice to have such humans who would be able to shine through adverse conditions who could remain positive when times are not so good and try to create a strong positive vibe for all those around you..

LONAVALA...

Spent the Sunday  at the picturesque town and hill station which is just 96 kms from Mumbai.
Lonavla and the adjacent Khandala are twin towns located around 622 m above sea level.
Its refreshing to travel to these towns as they are close as  takes about 2 hours by car and it’s so different from the concrete life of Mumbai. It’s cool, pleasant and lovely to look at..
We went there in the morning and were back by evening , but even that short visit was enough to refresh and rejuvenate me for the coming week which is going to be quite hectic with a big birthday bash to be planned.. At the end of the month..
Let me share with you a few pictures which I clicked while I was there….

It started getting crowded as we were just reaching Lonavala

                                           WATER FALL NEAR KHANDALA

It was quite misty when I clicked these picture and also very cool and refreshing to be standing there on top and looking at the huge waterfall at a distance.

This sweet fella was also there with his family

NOTHING LIKE A SPICED HOT ROASTED CORN WHICH IS ROASTED ON A COAL SHEGDI OR OVEN LIKE THING YOU SEE IN THE PICTURE...

You can see how chilly it was by the dress the vendors are wearing...
You can also see some packets of boiled peanuts which is also consumed with relish here

You can see that the lady is fanning the coal shegdi in the above picture and that help to burn the coal which are in ..Can you see those yummy peanuts ? Have you eaten boiled peanut ?

WEEKEND PICTURES****

Last weekend was spent at my hubby's cousins farmhouse at Dhapoli, a small village in Maharashtra which is about 6 hours drive from our home...
I love to spend time in a country home because living there is so different from living in a city where we do , its much more calmer and peaceful, the air is pure and refreshing and so is the food...
You sleep well and so think well too... Let me share with you some of the photos I clicked on my way to Dhapoli and also while I was there...
I could not click as many as I wanted to because there were about 50 relatives all around and much time was spent chatting , gossiping and generally relaxing..

We left in the early hours of morning when the air was fresh and crisp... We left this early so as to avoid the traffic in the city and to be away from the crowd as early as possible.

We stopped on the way to have a hot cup or should I say glass of tea ( It feels so warm and homely to drink in a glass although we never ever drink tea in a glass) but the tea tastes so much better when you drink it in this fashion and also when the view around you is amazing . Here are some of the pictures I clicked while having my glass of tea ....

Don't you agree when I say that nothing compares to this hot glass of tea which is had with this view opening out in front of you...

A rustic Indian village home which I clicked when we were asking for directions to reach our destination....

LITTLE MORE OF PUNE FOR YOU....

I LITTLE MORE OF PUNE PHOTOS WHICH I CLICKED FOR YOUR PERUSAL.......

We clicked some snaps here outside this above shop which is very famous in Pune for its BHAKARWADI , AND AMBEWADI one being a savory item and other being a sweet thing.. Both the items are very famous will upload the pictures tomorrow , you could see people queuing up here for the sweet modak and pedhas too...
There were many vendors selling fruits and vegetables here ,

I found this person selling guavas to be very interesting with the way he has arranged his fruit on the basket on his bicycle....

SOME GREAT LOOKING HOUSES AROUND THE PLACE , SOMETHING THAT WE DO NOT GET THE PRIVILEGE TO SEE IN OUR MUMBAI....

I LOVE THE ABOVE GREEN HOUSE......

OUR LITTLE TRIP TO PUNE.....

We were in Pune over the weekend , Its a city which is just 3 hours drive from Mumbai the place I live.

I went there on the occasion of GANESH CHATURTI a festival of lord GANESHA, Pune is a place where this utsav or festival was first started and people still celebrate it with the same fervor and gaiety .

for more details on this festival read this site here .

Its so wonderful to get the feel of a place especially when the festivities are on , you see people walking on the road with things required at home for the celebration, you could see stalls selling Lord Ganesha murti's or Idols..

I loved this above Ganapati Idol... There was so much rush around the place that I could not click more pictures than what I have, It was also getting very dark and so clicking pictures was getting all the more difficult.
I somehow managed to park my car in such a way that it would not disturb the devotees who had all eyes and senses for the lord.
I stood at a distance to click this photos , I had to zoom the pictures in order to click them so please excuse the quality.

WAY TO PUNE****

My brother was in Pune over the weekend , Its a small place about 3 hours drive from Mumbai (the place where we stay..)
He had to attend a function there and so the visit , I too was invited but could not go due to my son's college admission process which is going on .

I uploaded the pictures clicked by him on his way to Pune , I would love to share them with you , how I  wish I could go , as I had mentioned in the earlier post I am very attracted to the greenery that nature offers us.There are a few  who love to go on the beach and play in the water i.e  they like to be connected to the water element of nature, but when I go to the beach I prefer to just spread out a beach towel and sit there looking at the ocean with a nice book in hand and feeling the cool breeze from the sea on my hair .

Oh Wow!!! writing  blogs is really great ,The above  thought just flew out of my mind as i was writing the post and I feel so good at being able to understand a little part of me... Writing your thoughts on paper is really therapeutic It makes you delve right in your inner being and let the thoughts just flow like water out of you which you might not be possible if you are just busy and doing your routine things.

This road you see above is a Express highway and so you see that its not crowded and the ride is smooth as against the way we travel in our city . Normally in Mumbai we face a humongous problem of traffic jams and most of the time we are traveling bumper to bumper...
So travelling on such roads is a sure stress reliever where you can really enjoy driving and looking at the beauty around you .

Did you enjoy looking at the pictures? Please comment ...
