LONAVALA...
Spent the Sunday at
the picturesque town and hill station which is just 96 kms from Mumbai.
Lonavla and the adjacent Khandala are twin towns located
around 622 m above sea level.
Its refreshing to travel to these towns as they are close as
takes about 2 hours by car and it’s so
different from the concrete life of Mumbai. It’s cool, pleasant and lovely to
look at..
We went there in the morning and were back by evening , but
even that short visit was enough to refresh and rejuvenate me for the coming
week which is going to be quite hectic with a big birthday bash to be planned..
At the end of the month..
Let me share with you a few pictures which I clicked while I
was there….
It started getting crowded as we were just reaching Lonavala
WATER FALL NEAR KHANDALA
It was quite misty when I clicked these picture and also very cool and refreshing to be standing there on top and looking at the huge waterfall at a distance.
This sweet fella was also there with his family
NOTHING LIKE A SPICED HOT ROASTED CORN WHICH IS ROASTED ON A COAL SHEGDI OR OVEN LIKE THING YOU SEE IN THE PICTURE...
You can see how chilly it was by the dress the vendors are wearing...
You can also see some packets of boiled peanuts which is also consumed with relish here
You can see that the lady is fanning the coal shegdi in the above picture and that help to burn the coal which are in ..Can you see those yummy peanuts ? Have you eaten boiled peanut ?

MORNING GLORY....
As I walk out of my bedroom I can see this side stand which is just next to my front door.. This picture was taken a week ago around 6.30 in the morning
This warm morning ray of light gives a cozy and fresh feel and hope for the new day to unfold...
Our thoughts have an enormous power or impact on our day to day life.. although they do not have any physical form they take control of you and hence begin a day with positive and healthy thoughts .. with the new ray of morning light coming into your life .. set up new goals everyday ..goals which you plan to achieve ..which you plan to follow come what may...
Start your day with new ideas , look forward to do something interesting, have something positive on your mind , put it on paper if you have to but keep your day full with positive energy and positive activities .. some which have to be done and some which you love to be get done..

WEEK END AT THE WATER PARK
May is always hot and humid
here in Mumbai ... and so the plan to visit a water park for a cool and
fun-filled day..
This water park was created
in a open mountain area.. This makes it all the more enjoyable...
I am not a water person,
enjoy a water park only to upto a certain level.. I don’t enjoy slides and
other roller coaster type rides.. So my water park experience is restricted to
water-falls and wave pools Hehe.. But never the less it’s an experience...
Here are some pictures I
clicked there...and let the pictures do the talking...
HAR-HAR GANGE FALL
WAVE POOL

It was such a respite from the sweltering mid summer heat....

WINDOW VIEW....
A couple of days back I was at my sister in laws place with my hubby's cousin who was visiting from Goa, as they were visiting her new home for the first time and as they are on a 6 day vacation they carried a camera .
It so happens that one tends to click a lot of pictures of places one visits but never really takes pictures of place where you stay so this is an opportunity that I got to click for someone who wanted a little memory of the day spent in Mumbai .
I am sharing some pictures with you for those who have not been to Mumbai, the place where I was born and bought up .
Mumbai is a very important city in India which is growing and evolving fast , you will see a lot of high rises in our area ..
The pleasure of owning a house in Mumbai is rare and only for the elite .. so take a glimpse of how it looks from the 19th floor...
Mumbai has a very developed public railway system which is a boon for the working class and in the above picture you can see a train passing by...

SOOTHING ....
The below pictures are taken at Dhapoli , from the hill top where you can see the lovely expanse of the beach..
For people like me who stay in a typical city where all you see around you are massive concrete structures which although are made to look beautiful , lack the natural beauty and calmness that you find in places like beaches or a small town or village..
I look forward to visiting such places which makes you feel relaxed and rejuvenated ..
How is the place that you stay? do you find your mental peace there? are such places at a comfortable distance for you? Where you can just escape too when you feel like it...

EVERYDAY....
We go through your everyday in a normal rhythum.. each one of us have a routine to follow you may be a homemaker or a working woman but there is a certain routine that one adheres to and goes about it..
Once this routine is set it sometimes tends to become monotonous doing the same things everyday and going to the same drill regularly ...but but...
This is the time when we should try to make our everyday a little bit brighter and more interesting , we should try to put in or incorporate some thing cheerful or something that gives us that little spark of enthusiasm , that little rush of color in your cheek..
That gentle skip of heartbeat when you look at it ....and all this you can find in the day to day things or we should try to find that search for it make it happen .. Its very important for us to look for that little something in the everyday things to make our life a bit more interesting...
If I have to speak about myself , I love to see that something in the things I touch everyday , which I use for my day to day activities like for cooking, cleaning , organizing or just while sitting in the living room watching TV.
Let me tell you how I brighten up my day …
I have this tea mug which is very colorful I keep my pens and pencils in it and in front of me when I sit at the computer table writing this out to you.
I love to buy these multicolored sweets which I love to keep on my kitchen counter and love to just glance at them while cooking , just looking at the vibrant colors makes me feel good.
A slice of watermelon with its lovely color is enough to give me happiness..
A rose sitting on my dining table...
Beautiful stirrers gifted to me by my little sister who always wonders what I would do with the various varieties of cups, saucers,or plates that I have.
My favorite blanket which I use everyday....
You too dear friends try to make your everyday your everything , try to make it special by doing the simple things that you enjoy doing , by looking at things that you like to see especially bright and cheerful looking things.
Those who read this please comment and tell me what is your idea of a cheerful everyday what gives you those little pleasures in your everyday.

SACHIN TENDULKAR.....
OUR VERY OWN LITTLE MASTER "SACHIN TENDULKAR" GETS HIS MUCH AWAITED 100th 100 IN INTERNATIONAL CRICKET..
CONGRATULATIONS TO HIM!!!!!!!
A memorable moment for all us Indians .. and to top it all I could see the action live on TV a great feeling...
The 100th Sachin ton came against Bangladesh during the fourth match of the Asia Cup at the Shere Bangla National Stadium where the master blaster went where no cricketer has gone before.
Of his 100 international tons, Sachin has scored 51 in Tests and 49 ODIs.
It took Sachin 188 Tests and 462 ODIs to get to this landmark. Sachin, who is now 38-years-old, made his debut at the age of 16 in 1989.
SACHIN reached his milestone using 138 balls and smashing 10 boundaries and a six.

LITTLE LITTLE THINGS....
life is made of this little little moments everyday... We have to catch those little moments and try to get pleasure from them...
Each one of us feel that rush when things happen just the way we like them or when we do something that we love ... for me such a tiny moment is when I wash my steel tins where I store my everyday tea and coffee making material i.e tea leaves, sugar and ground coffee...
I love to see them drying on my kitchen counter .. and then I love it when I refill them and keep them in their place ..
for those reading this it will be like a simple action which one does without giving a thought ..but for me its a part of my daily routine ( I remove one or the other steel vessel in the house and wash it ..) I have so many ... Here in India we store our food stuff in steel tins or dabba's as we call them...
Why don't we talk or at-least think of those little little moment that are a part of our day to day routine and which give us as much pleasure as a new diamond ring would right?
I have many such moments in a day which I search for ...
Making my bed and dusting our room clean...
(above picture is from a magazine)
Having my mid morning cup of tea without disturbance and in a nice pretty cup..
cooking something new and delicious which I am positive will be enjoyed by everyone...
organizing something everyday like a drawer or a shelf.
reading one of my favorite magazine
Can you tell me yours???
