RAINS RAINS *****

The much awaited rains are here in Mumbai, I love this season there a certain feeling of well being , I am more relaxed and more at ease when it rains outside...

Here are the pictures i clicked from my apartment window...

This was how it actually looked like when the sky was overcast with thick water laden clouds (this is the actual picture).

Two minutes later it started pouring and  then cleared a bit the light outside was clearer This was around 6.00 in the evening so time for sun set , I wanted all of you to get a clearer picture and so I  changed the mode of my digital camera , changed it to night vision so that you all could see the exterior better than in the first picture...

BUTTERFLY ON MY WINDOW SILL****

Nature has its own beauty . Nature has so much to offer and you can see it everywhere in gods creation , in birds, animals and all the amazing things around us.

I love colours and so i always look out for colours in nature and when i  find them i capture them in my camera which i would view myself , but now blogs have been instrumental in helping me share this with you

 Yesterday morning as i finished my morning tea which i usually have on my window sill , i went to keep my mug in the sink and returned back to my place to just relax for sometime before my daily routine would take over my time and mind power(Haha...) I can think well only when i am alone and  silent.

I saw this beautiful butterfly who had just settled on my sill and was looking so beautiful that i was awestruck...

Look at the perfect colour combination and look at the spots!!!!!!!!. Can any of us create such a wonderful creature... 

doesnt it look like a cloth is wrapped around the back of the insect...

MID-MORNING TEA SEAT****

All my friends must be wondering what does the title of the post mean right?

Well let me tell you I have 2 cups of tea in the morning, One early in the morning after I wake up and the second during mid-morning after my household duties are half done...

I love to sit with a hot cup of tea or a nice cup of filter coffee, I normally sit on my window-sill and look at the society compound where i can see the swimming pool and the kids play area.

We stay in apartments ,so what we see all over is mostly high rise buildings , so a little greenery or water here and there is always welcome...

But the best part of the morning is sitting with my tea cup and reading  a interior magazine like BETTER HOMES AND GARDENS, OR A COUNTRY LIVING...
It gives me great pleasure to just sit there looking up in the sky and thinking of the things that i would love to do and how i would like my days to be and what I could have done etc etc...

This is the best part of my morning schedule , most of the remaining time i spend either cooking or cleaning...

PENS****

AS I HAVE SAID BEFORE READING BLOGS HAS MADE ME APPRECIATE COLOUR AND COLOURFUL THINGS AROUND THE HOUSE...

THIS IS A MUG WHEN MY SON KEEPS HIS MARKER AND COLOUR PENS

KITCHEN TOWELS....

Kitchen towels are my weakness , Whenever i see some new ones in the market i have to have them much to the annoyance of my dear hubby, let me make it clear haha.... that the annoyance is not because i am buying more stuff its because i buy and don't use them just keep them stalked and enjoy looking at them . But does that stop a lady from buying what she really loves NO NO OFF COURSE NOT !!!!!!!

Today i am sharing with you the pictures of the ones which i have just purchased and believe it or not i was with my dear exasperated hubby... oh WOW!!!    what a day to find my kitchen towels...The pleasure is in finding them right??????

I will put up pictures of  the other towels too once i find them from the hidden corners ..shhh....

MAGAZINES I READ****

I have been reading a lot of Marathi magazines nowadays , i have been reading from libraries, from friends and even buying many...

This has a nice article on the beautiful relationship a father shares with his daughter....

The other magazine is a cooking magazine which has a thali picture on its cover ,which attracted me to the magazine. If you read my other cooking blogs you will see  that i click pictures of thali's or the whole meal that i cook at home .

This magazine has many such interesting recipes which you can cook at home...

NEW BED-SPREAD****

This is a new bed-spread given to me by my mother for my sons bed , i love the colour of the bed spread...

and it really looks nice in the morning  with the sun rays streaming in through the bedroom window..

As i have mentioned earlier i seem to like all things bright and colourful and this bed cover falls in that category i love the various coloured flowers that you see on it...

Can you see those oblong bolsters on the bed I just got their covers changed they where yellow and blue checks earlier and now they are this glorious orange...

TOASTED BREAD AND BUTTER****

My son loves to take photographs , especially the close shots...

and i feel he is quite good for his age.. Here are the photos he took of his morning breakfast of toasted bread and butter...

PENCILS****

Stationery is something that i cannot resist bying , I feel that this habit is genetic as my father and my brother both fall in the same category "smiles...". We love all types of paper, pens, pads, pencils and many many more....

Let me share with you some of the fabulous pencils that i have collected over a period of time (not too long as its only in the recent years that we get different types of pencils in India , earlier their were only one or two brands available which were not very good looking, I  mean  not attractive enough to be photographed ...

As i was photographing these pencils i realized that some of the striped ones matched with the T-shirts that my son and hubby had so here are the matching pencils for you ...

isn't it fabulous!!!!!!

BATHROOM DECOR****

I have very small and cute(for me...) bathroom and i try to make it as pleasant as possible.

To renovate a  bathroom  becomes very expensive  ,  so why not decorate it with some small things which i like

Here is a plaque gifted to me by my sister .She purchased it from Kohl's

I  love the details on this  picture, the fold of the towel , the fern plant at the foot of the bath tub , the mirror and the lamp , so cute!!!.
